OBJECTIVES

 

Original Objectives on Start Up

 

1.—To incorporate the Leicestershire and Rutland Professional Golfers' Association.

2.—To encourage the Game of Golf during the winter months by promoting Tournaments and Competitions.

3.—To bring together the Amateur Members of and Professionals attached to the recognised Golf Clubs within the two Counties for the general advancement of Golf.

4.—To meet other Alliances in friendly matches.

5.—To encourage the highest handicap, also the younger Golfers in competitive Golf.

6.—To assist financially deserving past or present members of the Leicestershire and Rutland Golf Alliance who are or have been members of the Professional Golfers' Association and who are or have been also attached as Professional to a recognised Golf Club in the Counties of Leicestershire and Rutland.

 

 

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE LEICESTERSHIRE AND RUTLAND GOLF ALLIANCE IS TO PROMOTE FRIENDSHIP THROUGH GOLF. 

 

 

TO SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS AND ASSISTANT PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTIES OF LEICESTESHIRE AND RUTLAND.

 

 

TO SUPPORT JUNIOR GOLF AT COUNTY LEVEL AND ENCOURAGE THE GROWTH OF GOLF THROUGHOUT THE COUNTIES OF LEICESTERSHIRE AND RUTLAND.

 

 

TO PROMOTE COMPETITIVE GOLF THROUGHOUT THE COUNTIES OF LEICESTERSHIRE AND RUTLAND WITH BOTH AMATEURS AND PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT THE WINTER.
